The I-Spect inspection approach

At I-Spect, we work with our own unique, integrated total solution approach. So, how does that work in practice?

Every project begins with carefully mapping out the inspection scope. Once that is done, we determine which intelligent drone, robot, or handheld inspection systems are best suited for the job. We then prepare the entire inspection, including the necessary risk analyses and permit applications (Step 1).

In Step 2, we carry out the data collection, automating it whenever possible. This helps minimize data collection time and the impact on site. If the inspection is repetitive, automation proves very useful because it allows us to conduct future inspections in the exact same way. This consistency enables us to detect differences using the AI integrated into our I-Spect data platform.

Once the data is captured, we move to Step 3, where inspection and asset expertise are applied. The data is first screened by our AI algorithms on corrosion, cracks, etc. and then  validated by an expert to assess legal, material, or defect-related aspects.

In the final step (Step 4), we visualize the inspection results in our I-Spect data platform, presenting them to the customer in a user-friendly way. This can be done through digital reporting and/or a 2D/3D report, where defects on the asset are clearly indicated.

By offering this entire process through a single provider, the customer is fully relieved of any burden, while gaining valuable insights for maintaining and repairing their assets.

The key benefits of this approach are:

  • Up to 60%-time savings for inspection

  • Increased inspection safety by using drones

  • One central location for all inspection data

  • Up to 60%-time savings for reporting

  • Repetitive inspections by drone automation

  • Insights into defect trends through AI analyses

  • Integration with asset management platforms
